The Feast of Reason is a supper club with interesting speakers. It takes place in a house in Brixton, and sometimes in other venues.
It is a literary salon, pop-up restaurant, debating society, the chance to meet new people, and a night of delicious food and wine, all in one evening.
We invite two people to tell their stories. They might talk about their work, a recent adventure, special subject, or life experience.
Speakers so far include a playwright, a filmmaker, a surgeon, a historian, a pirate wine expert, an astrophysicist, a spider silk weaver, a man obsessed by numbers, a cycling fanatic, an economist, a biographer, and a moth enthusiast.
Each speaker has about ten minutes to talk, followed by 10-15 minutes of questions. Then everyone sits down for a candlelit supper.
The Feast of Reason takes place in a house in Brixton so at the moment numbers are very limited but we are on the look out for new venues.
If you would like to come to a Feast of Reason please join our mailing list.
Also let us know if you have any ideas for speakers or venues, or if you would like to come and tell us your story.
Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org to go on the mailing list. Donation of £45 for talks, wine, 3-course supper and coffee.
